I grew up in the country just outside of Yorkville, Illinois. I played all sports growing up and loved to compete. I played baseball and basketball throughout high school and then continued to play baseball at Kankakee Community College, which is where I received my associate degree. I then moved on to Northern Illinois University and obtained my bachelor’s in health and human sciences.
Within 2 months after graduation at NIU, I started the graduate program at Palmer College of Chiropractic. While at Palmer College I went on a clinic abroad trip to Bequia, an island in the Grenadines where a few classmates and I provided chiropractic care to its residents. This was truly an amazing and eye-opening experience to the limited healthcare that other countries have access to. I am thankful for having that opportunity to provide healthcare to people in need.
My wife Aubrey grew up in Peotone and her parents still live there. We both have family locally and are excited to plant our roots and call Kankakee County home.
Outside of the office I am an avid outdoorsman. I enjoy anything from four-wheeling to sports to hunting and fishing. I have been lucky enough to go to Canada on a few fishing trips and I have also been on a few other hunting trips with my dad. All the time spent hunting, fishing, and playing sports have been cherished bonding moments with my father.
Being active and healthy throughout childhood helped steer me to a holistic healthcare approach. I chose chiropractic as a career because I want to help people attain and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Throughout my career I want to be able to provide the best quality of care for my patients and the community. It is my goal and purpose at VanTil Chiropractic “to educate and adjust as many families as possible towards optimal health through natural chiropractic care.”
